A South Windsor man has been sentenced to prison for defrauding people seeking immigration services with his wife, according to the State's Attorney's Office.

Officials said Babar Khan, 46, was sentenced to 18 months in prison and two years of supervised release for fraudulently taking money for services he didn't provide.

Court documents and statements show that Khan and his wife provided services to people involved in proceedings with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
