BALTIMORE -- For the third time in four games, the Orioles were walk-off winners on Tuesday night. For the second time in that span, it was rookie phenom Samuel Basallo who ended it.

Basallo knocked a walk-off RBI single in the 11th inning, lifting Baltimore to a 3-2 win over Pittsburgh at Camden Yards. The 20-year-old recorded his second career walk-off hit four days after his first, as he slugged a walk-off solo home run in the ninth inning of Friday’s 2-1 victory over the Dodgers.

This one was a bit weirder.

With the bases loaded and no outs in the bottom of the 11th, Basallo lifted a fly ball the opposite way to shallow left field. Pirates left fielder Tommy Pham attempted to make a sliding catch and failed, and the call on the field was initially that the ball landed foul.
