SALISBURY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Salisbury man has been charged following a three-month-long investigation into reports of child abuse.

On Tuesday, September 9, around 5 p.m., Salisbury Police Department's Criminal Investigation Unit arrested Michael Lee King, 65, with the following charges: • One count of indecent liberties with a minor • One count of second-degree rape • One count of rape by a custodian/guardian

Police say the alleged incidents occurred at multiple locations, including the Damascus Emmanuel Pentecostal Church.

King is being held at the Rowan County Detention Center under no bond.
