MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities have apprehended two murder suspects after a stolen vehicle was found abandoned in a Mt. Juliet neighborhood Monday morning.
According to the Mt. Juliet Police Department, officers were notified by Lebanon police about a active pursuit on I-40 West at approximately 10:20 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 8.
The department's license plate recognition system reportedly triggered the pursuit of the vehicle, which was stolen during an armed carjacking in Louisville, Kentucky.
Mt. Juliet police said officers responded to the area to deploy spike strips, but as the vehicle approached the Golden Bear Gateway exit, Lebanon police stopped the chase.
Shortly after, a license plate reader detected the stolen vehicle along Golden Bear Gateway and Beckwith Road. At the sa
