SALEM, Ore. — An Oregon state lawmaker says she won't run for another term in the legislature, and she'll instead run for a Clackamas County commission seat recently roiled by controversy and turnover.
State Rep. Annessa Hartman is a Democrat who has represented House District 40 — which covers Gladstone, Oregon City and other areas in northern Clackamas County — since 2023. She chairs the Early Childhood and Human Services Committee.
During the recent special session, Hartman distinguished herself by being the sole Democrat to vote against the transportation funding package that brought lawmakers back to the Capitol over the Labor Day weekend.
