Cambridge is becoming too expensive, with some locals having to relocate out of the city, and some businesses suffering with costs. Within the last few years, the UK has had to battle financial difficulties, following the effects of the Covid lockdown and the cost of living crisis.

As a result, everything has gone up in price, including house prices, food, drink, meals out, days out and other aspects of life. For people living and working in Cambridge, they have felt the pinch.

For Jack Harding and his wife, who wished to not be named, they are moving to Cambourne as they can’t afford to live in Cambridge . Jack said he and his wife have noticed a “huge difference” in the last three years since they moved from St Ives to Cambridge.
