The defending girls soccer state champions produced an ideal response coming off a rare loss.

North Kingstown scored three goals in each half on its home turf Tuesday night, lessening the sting of a Friday setback against dangerous Mt. Hope in Division I.

Moses Brown was the victim of some unfortunate timing on its schedule and a group of Skippers that remains plenty strong. June Merchant and Amelia Boisclair each found the net twice as North Kingstown shut out the Quakers, 6-0, in a crossover meeting at Perry Athletic Complex.
