PARADISE, Calif. - The Butte County Sheriff's Office says a juvenile involved in a shooting incident that took place near Concow on Saturday was arrested at Paradise High School on Monday.

Authorities say that deputies from the Butte County Sheriff’s Office responded to a remote swimming area off Big Bend Road after receiving reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival at the scene, deputies learned that a juvenile suspect allegedly brandished and discharged a firearm during an altercation.

Witnesses told authorities that the juvenile aimed the firearm at several people and fired the weapon multiple times.

Deputies and detectives from the Butte County Sheriff’s Office quickly collected physical evidence and video surveillance at the scene of the shooting.
