Vancouver park board commissioners will be asked to weigh up dozens of possible options to reduce the number of cars entering Stanley Park each year.
Next Monday, park board staff will present to the board a 90-page document called Stanley Park Mobility Study .
It includes a wide array of options that can be used to achieve a reduction in the number of private cars in the park, as the number of visitors continues to rise.
Among those options are the construction of either a permanent or temporary six-storey parking lot, a TransLink bus service around Stanley Park Drive and the removal of the Stanley Park horse carriage rides.
