NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — A man with an active homicide warrant was taken into custody after attempting to enter the United States on Monday.
U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) announced that Everton Thomas of New Jersey was taken into custody after attempting to enter the United States at the Rainbow Bridge on a commercial bus.
CBP discovered Thomas' name in a report from the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) which stated that Thomas had an active warrant for Homicide with a Gun from the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.
After verifying the warrant and the 41-year-old's identity, Thomas was taken into custody and turned over to the New York State Police as a Fugitive from Justice. Thomas is currently waiting extradition back to New Jersey.
