Some of the city’s top chefs will go head-to-head as part of a friendly competition.

The Northeast Indiana Local Food Network has announced the participating chefs for its Local Food Throwdown fundraiser, which will be Sept. 29 at The Lodge at Camp Red Cedar.

Nine chefs will participate in the event celebrating local ingredients: Alex Romines-Ditton of Copper Spoon; Ashley Sturdivant of Pixie Pies; Brandon Gump of Rowdy Rooster Artisan Meats; Johnny Perez of Brixton BBQ; Jon Brown of Spoke + Ivy; Lynne Koepper of LaOtto Brewing; Tony West of The Oyster Bar; Ulises Gamez of Bravas; and Yuliia Borodynska of Flour, Salt and Water.

Guests will sample three appetizers, three entrees and three desserts made with local ingredients and vote on their favorites. Special gluten-free and vegan dish
