BLOUNT COUNTY, Ala. —
A former corrections officer is facing serious charges after he was arrested by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Tuesday morning. ALEA believes the suspect, Christopher Thomason, used Snapchat for the last two months to send and request explicit content with underage girls. One of the victims is from Alabama. According to ALEA, the investigation started back in July.
Thomason worked with the Blount County Sheriff’s Office since August 2024 until today, when Sheriff Mark Moon announced he’s been fired. He’s facing 11 counts of child pornography and solicitation of a child.
