LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - An orchestra of construction workers Tuesday afternoon served as the unofficial opening act to Bourbon & Beyond and Louder Than Life.

Crews were putting the final touches on the festivals’ new location and new layout.

“There’s no other festival experience in the world that is going to be like Bourbon & Beyond and Louder Than Life,” Danny Wimmer Presents General Manager Chamie McCurry said.

WAVE went behind the scenes at the new site outside the Kentucky Expo Center. For the last few years, the events were held at the Highlands Festival Fairgrounds.

Spread out over 2.4 million square feet, it’s twice as big as the old layout.
