A light sprinkling of snow is anticipated across certain regions of the UK over the next few days, according to weather experts. ‌

A harsh low-pressure system is lurking to the northwest of Britain and is gradually drifting southwards as temperatures plummet throughout the week with daytime maximums of merely 6C expected at the weekend. ‌

This dramatic shift is predicted to create conditions suitable for snowfall in various locations, including the Scottish Highlands and other elevated terrain. ‌
