Los Angeles Clippers superstar Kawhi Leonard’s offseason woes have gotten messier. After the 34-year-old was implicated in a $28 million endorsement scandal, a few more bombshells have come out in recent days.

Many of the issues surrounding him occurred during Leonard’s free agency in 2019. Fresh from winning a championship in 2019, Leonard decided to eschew the Los Angeles Lakers and Toronto Raptors to sign with the Clippers.

While his choice of the Clippers over the Lakers shocked fans, most media analysts downplayed it. After all, Kawhi Leonard’s camp has stated explicitly that he wants to play in California, his home state. Many speculated back then that the two-time NBA Finals MVP wasn’t too thrilled playing second fiddle to LeBron James.
