WASHINGTON, D.C. (KSEE/KGPE) – After an action-packed day one of the 32nd Central Valley Honor Flight, and over 2,000 miles in the air, the trip's 73 veterans were up at the crack of dawn Tuesday for the ultimate congressional treatment, on the trip of a lifetime.

The special treatment began with an escort led by Capitol Police.

“That’s the unique thing about Honor Flight. We see a red light that means go!" Central Valley Honor Flight volunteer and Vietnam veteran Bill Goodreau explained over the bus's PA system, as it soared through a traffic light with the help of an escort.

“Please don’t do that when you’re back in Fresno," he said aloud with a laugh.
