A traumatised mum described the terrifying moment she searched for her little girl 'amongst the blood and chaos' of the Southport attack.

An inquiry has opened into the devastating events of July 29 last year and the factors that led to Axel Rudakubana's horrific actions .

Three girls - Bebe King, Alice da Silva Aguiar and Elsie Dot Stancombe - were murdered by the teenager, while 10 others were injured and 16 others witnessed the horrors unfold at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class during the school summer holidays.

Addressing the Southport Inquiry on Tuesday (September 9), a girl's mum said that the search for her daughter on the day was a feeling 'no parent should ever have'.
