MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Police Department is searching for an 11-year-old girl who went missing form the Vollintine-Evergreen neighborhood on Saturday.

Kenya Emery's mother Sheereka Emery reported her daughter as a runaway on Monday, Memphis Police said. According to MPD, Emery told officers her daughter had left the house without permission late Saturday evening, suffers from a mood disorder and is not taking her medication.

Police said the girl has run away from home before and was found in the area of N. Watkins and Vollintine, in the Saints Court Apartments. MPD said she has also threatened to harm herself in the past.
