MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A 17-year-old McDonald’s worker is recovering after being shot while on the job in Hickory Hill.

This happened on Sunday afternoon on Winchester Road near Ridgeway.

"I’m thankful to God for keeping me here,” said Rodtavius Lewis, who was just ending his shift at McDonald’s when he was caught in crossfire.

Lewis’ mother told FOX13 she expected a call Sunday afternoon to pick him up from work. Instead, she got a call about an incident at his job.

His mother who asked us not to show their faces out of concern for safety.
