ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Clemens Center in downtown Elmira is adding another major Broadway production to its lineup this fall.

The Tony Award-winning play Stereophonic will take the stage for one night only on Wednesday, October 1 at 7 p.m. The show made history earlier this year as the most Tony-nominated play of all time, winning the 2024 Tony Award for Best Play.

Written by David Adjmi, directed by Daniel Aukin, and featuring original music from Arcade Fire’s Will Butler, Stereophonic is set inside a 1970s recording studio. The story follows a rock band on the edge of fame, navigating pressures that could make or break them.

Tickets go on sale Tuesday, September 10 at 11:30 a.m. through the Clemens Center Box Office, by phone, or online at ClemensCenter.org.
