NEW YORK YANKEES star Anthony Volpe sent MLB fans into total meltdown after posing with his date on the red carpet.

Volpe , 24, attended the Willow Gala, which is a silent auction to support those affected by infertility and pregnancy loss.

And the shortstop was joined by his date, who has since been identified as Elle Jowett.

Together they shone bright at the event, which was put together by the foundation of the star New Yorker's Yankees team-mate Carlos Rodon.

And baseball fans were left in awe as they stormed social media.
