LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A west Louisville community is stepping up in the fight against neighborhood violence by launching a new initiative focused on empowerment, collaboration, and safety.

Residents from the Parkland and Park Duvalle neighborhoods gathered at the Parkland Library this week for the first meeting of Community Covenant Connection, or C3. The grassroots neighborhood watch program was initiated by the Community Outreach Service of Kentucky in partnership with the Louisville Metro Police Department.

“We are launching the first public meeting of C3 Neighborhood Watch,” said Desiree Barker, the public relations representative for the Community Outreach Service of Kentucky.
