Opposition Leader Sussan Ley has sternly declared she had no choice but to sack Jacinta Nampijinpa Price, vowing that “confidence in the leader” was an essential condition to serve in Shadow Cabinet.

Liberal leader Sussan Ley announced Ms Price’s shock sacking from Shadow Cabinet on Wednesday evening, and stressed that “confidence in the leadership” was a key “requirement” to serve in the shadow ministry.

“Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price has failed the test of high standard that I have set for members of my shadow ministry.
