A NSW officer has been charged and suspended after allegedly accessing and sharing restricted data about an individual with another man in the state’s north.

Reports of an officer illegally accessing and distributing restricted police data in January 2025 led to an investigation by Strike Force Rouvray.

The Strike force officers identified one officer during the investigation and revealed he allegedly accessed the data several times between 2016 to 2025, and all the data accessed was related to police information about a Nundle man.

A search warrant took place at Southwest Rocks Police Station on June 12, which police said confirmed suspicions the officer had allegedly supplied the information he accessed to a Nundle man.
