BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – More than 18,000 people are without a job across Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester counties, according to the latest data from the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce.

If you need help finding a job, there are several resources available, including two job fairs happening in Moncks Corner and North Charleston on Wednesday.

Berkeley County Government will host a job fair for several available in-house positions. That event takes place from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. inside the county administration building in Moncks Corner.

The county offers competitive pay, state retirement, and paid holidays. Looking at the data from SCDEW shows that there are 5,661 unemployed in Berkeley County with a rate of 4.2%, and 3,711 unemployed in Dorchester Count
