UK households have been given a loophole to avoid the 170 price hike of a household item in September. New supplier price data obtained this week reveals dramatic increases to the cost of Mounjaro, with some doses rising by as much as 170%.

The updated prices, introduced by the supplier on 14 August 2025, mean patients outside the NHS could now be paying nearly triple what they were previously for their prescriptions.

Understandably, many patients are concerned about whether they can afford to continue treatment and are anxious about the prospect of having to restart a lengthy, expensive titration schedule on an alternative GLP-1 medication.
