Shotts boss John McKeown was delighted to see his side bag their first West of Scotland Premier Division win of the season on Saturday, and hopes it works as a catalyst. ‌

It took the Hannah Park club until Christmas to get their first points on the board last season, but a Taylor Evans double and a strike from Mark McKenzie earned them a 3-1 win at home to Cumnock on Saturday. ‌

McKeown said: “It’s not just for confidence; I’ve felt as if there’s been a few games we should have won so far, but have not, and just been unlucky. ‌
