Aldi announces three-day closure of all UK stores - what customers can expect

Aldi bosses plan to shut all of its UK stores for three days later this year, allowing staff to enjoy part of the Christmas break with their loved ones. The budget supermarket chain runs over 1,050 outlets across England, Scotland and Wales, with plans to further expand this number to reach 1,500 sites.

It has won over shoppers with its selection of reasonably priced food items, as well as its notorious middle aisle featuring ever-changing SpecialBuys. The firm announced today (September 10) that it will close its doors on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, December 25 and 26, before reopening shortly afterwards.
