ROBERTSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — For Robertson County Schools Director of Transportation Josh Hinerman, it's more than just a job.

“I feel like I’ve worked in the field that has brought me the greatest passion in my life for the last two decades," Hinerman said.

His department is responsible for taking 7,000 students to and from school each day, as well as to extracurricular activities, special education programs, foster care and more. He became a bus driver when he was just 21 years old, and has been driving students daily ever since.

"My grandmother and great grandparents drove the school bus, and I’ve always had the love for that iconic yellow school bus from the time I was tiny," he said.
