INDIANAPOLIS – Six people were injured in a Tuesday night crash on the southeast side of Indianapolis.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were dispatched around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday to 7535 Southeastern Ave. That’s east of I-465 and Five Points Road.

The preliminary investigation found a four-door sedan was heading southeast on Southeastern Avenue when the driver lost control.

The vehicle veered off the road, went airborne and eventually struck a tree. Police said the sedan was “believed to have been traveling at an unsafe speed.”

Six people inside the car were injured, including one individual who was ejected.
