SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- Those who use either direction of I-81 in the City of Syracuse should look out for upcoming lane closures.
I-81 will be reduced to one lane at two locations in the City of Syracuse, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weekdays, beginning Tuesday, Sept. 9, to Monday, Sept. 15. • I-81 northbound between Exit 17 (S. Salina St./Brighton Ave.) and Exit 18 (Adams Street/Harrison Street) • I-81 southbound between Exit 18 (Adams Street/Harrison Street) and Exit 17 (S. Salina St./Brighton Ave.)
Paving and striping will be done as part of the I-81 Viaduct Project, according to the NYSDOT.
Construction activities are weather-dependent and subject to change based on conditions.
