SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- In snowy Central New York, people often get a wave of relief upon seeing the arrival or aftermath of the long-awaited snowplow. That could be you behind the wheel, since the City of Syracuse is hiring for people to operate heavy vehicles.
That includes, but is not limited to, snowplows, dump trucks, excavators, and payloaders.
In a partnership with the New York State Department of Labor and CNY Works, a non-profit recruitment agency, the city is hosting a job fair for commercial drivers on Sept. 25, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the CNY Works Career Center.
