The hottest summer on record is a distant memory for Scots now, after the ongoing spell of unsettled weather and heavy rain that has triggered several flood warnings across the country over the past few days. And the Met Office is warning that the miserable weather is only to continue this weekend as we enter storm season.
September 1 marks the beginning of storm season, where the weather is more likely to turn violent and wintery. And after the recent unsettled conditions, this weekend is to see a low pressure system move its way across the UK, causing 'blustery showers' along with a 'risk of thunder and hail', according to the Met Office.
While there has been speculation that the coming system of showers may become the first named storm of the season, which woul
