NEW YORK – Of course this September feels different. How can it not?

At this time last year, the Tigers were playing with house money. They were hunters, hell-bent chasers with nothing to lose. There were no real expectations. But they kept winning and winning and before they had a chance to realize what they were doing, they wound up in the postseason.
