SEATTLE — The thing about having a lineup with five hitters who have more than 20 home runs – instead of just one this late in the season – they don’t have to come from the leading slugger to change games.

The Seattle Mariners, who stacked five 20-homer hitters at the top of their lineup and had three of them with more than 30, flexed their power advantage Tuesday to answer and then overtake the Cardinals, 5-3, at T-Mobile Park. Sometimes it doesn’t even have to come from a hitter with 20. Leadoff hitter Randy Arozarena hit his 27th home run of the season and Josh Naylor moved closer to joining the group with his 19th.

Each time the Cardinals had a lead or a comeback, the M’s answered with a 400-foot home run.
