OWENSBORO, Ky. (WFIE) - One of the victims of the deadly accident on Highway 60 last week in Owensboro has been identified.

Last Thursday, law enforcement officials say a car on the Highway 60 Bypass lost control, overcorrected, went across the median, and crashed into a truck.

Both people in the car died.

Sheriff Brad Youngman identified the passenger as 43-year-old Brian Deaton of Oldham County.

The driver has not yet been identified, but they say hope to have their name within the next few days.

According to the sheriff’s office, the driver of the semi-truck was taken to a Louisville hospital with severe injuries.

The investigation is ongoing. We’ll let you know when more details are released.
