CARLISLE, Iowa —

Voters in the Carlisle Community School District have approved an extension of the Physical Plant and Equipment levy in a special election on Tuesday.

Unofficial results from both Polk and Warren Counties show that 386 people voted "yes" for the extension, accounting for 88.3% of the votes.

The extension does not raise current property tax values.
