AUSTIN (KXAN) — At least two people were injured early Wednesday morning during an officer-involved shooting near the 700 block of Azie Morton Road, according to a social media post from Austin Police at 5:39 a.m.

The department said that the two who were injured include an APD officer and "one additional person." APD Watch Command said that both were receiving care at a local hospital, and that the officer had been shot. It didn't disclose the other person's injuries.

According to sources, the officer had been on patrol in the Zilker Park area and found a vehicle that had been reported stolen.
