SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Concho Valley Crime Stoppers is seeking tips that could lead to an arrest for "a disrespect to our community history" after commemorative plaques were stolen from Fairmount Cemetery.

Concho Valley Crime Stoppers, a nonprofit organization that works with area law enforcement to gather information on crimes, wanted persons and criminal activities, reported during the afternoon of Sept. 9 that it and Fairmount Cemetery were seeking tips from the community regarding a theft incident.

The nonprofit stated that "in Mid-March of 2025, two commemorative plaques were stolen from the fence at Fairmount Cemetery — a place of honor and remembrance in our community."
