CORTLAND Some helpful hardware folks will soon be occupying the former Rite Aid location in Cortland.

Cortland Mayor Deidre Petrosky confirmed with 21 News that Ace Hardware is opening a new location in the former Rite Aid building at 569 South High Street.

No opening date is known yet, but Petrosky says the business has secured the necessary permits, and construction crews are actively working to get the building ready to open for business.

This will be the 12th Ace Hardware location in the Mahoning Valley and the fifth location in Trumbull County.

Other Mahoning Valley Ace locations include Struthers, Boardman, Niles, Canfield, New Middletown, Columbiana, Champion, Newton Falls, Middleton, Kinsman and East Liverpool.

Shenango Valley locations include Mercer Borough and Grove Ci
