A mom who returned home to discover "the worst surprise" waiting inside has gone viral on social media.

Dr. Lydia Pulci shared a video online (@drlydpulci on TikTok ) showing the horrifying moment she had to leave her home out of fear because of what she found inside. As she returned from work with her son in her arms, she couldn't believe her eyes when she saw an unwelcome guest in the shape of a hawk.

As it turned out, the bird flew into a window, breaking it in the process, and was perched on the furniture inside her home. Pulci, 30, who resides in New York, described it as "something going crazy" in the house, which left her "really scared."

After spotting the live bird , Pulci carried her son out of the house, and they waited in their car at the end of the driveway.
