OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Today marks four years since the solemn return of Corporal Daegan Page to Omaha.

Thousands of people lined the streets of Omaha to remember and honor the 23-year-old’s sacrifice .

Cpl. Page and 12 other Marines were killed after a suicide bombing at the Kabul Airport, Abbey Gate , as American forces were evacuating Afghanistan .

The Cpl. Daegan Page Foundation supports a number of scholarships and grants, including a new community hub in downtown Omaha called Anchor Commons , connecting military families.
