Republican State Senate candidate Jason Dickerson is facing renewed scrutiny after reports surfaced that he was investigated in 2009 for allegedly threatening to shoot his elderly neighbor’s dog. According to a Canton Police Department report obtained by the right-leaning Georgia Wire and published by the right wing American Made Independent Committee, Inc. PAC, an 87-year-old woman told officers that Dickerson confronted her during a dispute about her miniature Schnauzer.

The report indicated that Dickerson was upset that a dog was relieving itself in his yard and accused a neighbor's pet of committing the acts:
