Teachers and parents from Newark who are interested in learning about and engaging in education policy and advocacy are being encouraged to apply for year-long fellowships offered by JerseyCAN, a statewide advocacy organization.
Participants of both fellowships discuss the latest policy trends and issues in New Jersey education and gain a deeper understanding of the state's education policy landscape by expanding their knowledge of local, state, and national issues.
In addition, both fellowships use JerseyCAN's relationships in Trenton to provide opportunities to network with state leaders and influential educational stakeholders while building engagement and advocacy skills.
