The death of a woman in Redcar's Lord Street is not being treated as suspicious. Police were called to the road after a woman in her 40s was found unconscious - she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Scenes of crime officers attended and the street was cordoned off as investigations took place. Results of the probe rule that the woman's death is not suspicious and now an inquest will take place before a coroner.
A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: "Around 9.40am on Tuesday, September 9, ambulance service colleagues contacted Cleveland Police regarding a woman in her forties who was found unconscious in the street on Lord Street/Alfred Street, Redcar .
