Middlesbrough allotment holders have described arriving to find the site swarmed with police officers after a man's body was discovered. Cleveland Police has said no arrests have been made as an investigation into the "unexplained" death of a man remains ongoing.

It follows the sad discovery at the Town Farm Allotments, off Cargo Fleet Lane, on Tuesday, September 9. Speaking to Teesside Live, a 62-year-old Middlesbrough man said he turned up at the allotments, where he's had a plot for 10 years, around 6pm on Tuesday. He said the place was "swarming" with police officers.

"I couldn't get in to feed my chickens and ducks," said the man, who pays £89 a year rent for his plot. "I managed to get in to feed them this morning (Wednesday) but that was two days that they hadn't been fed. We'
