MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A gas leak in a Bartlett neighborhood forced residents in the area to evacuate from their homes, the Bartlett Police Department confirmed in a social media post Wednesday morning.

BPD says the gas leak is in the area of Pamela Ann Drive and Memphis Arlington Road.

They are urging residents to avoid the area at this time until MLGW arrives to turn of the gas.

At this time, it is unclear when the issue will be resolved.
