ANN ARBOR, MI — A popular pie shop in Ann Arbor is up for sale this year.

Grand Traverse Pie Company, located at 291 N. Zeeb Road, has pumped out pies, sandwiches and soups for 19 years. However, owners Dave and Beth Ziegler plan to retire and want to sell their business.

“We are just at that stage in life where we are ready to move on and enjoy retirement,” Dave Ziegler said.

While the couple hopes the location remains a pie shop, Ziegler said the new owners ultimately have the choice to change or keep the business.

“We think that there’d be a lot of disappointed people around here, especially coming into the holiday season, all the pies that we’ve been selling over the years, but that would be their choice,” Ziegler said. “If somebody wanted to take this over and change it into a dif
