CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The Fort Hill Bridge in Charleston will be getting a new refresher.

Earlier this year, the bridge had three incidents of large holes opening up over a a short period of time.

The West Virginia Division of Highways has accepted bids to extend the life of the Fort Hill Bridge deck in Charleston.

The project will include concrete repairs to get the existing bridge deck in the best condition possible, and a flexible rubber barrier membrane before applying a two inch asphalt overlay on the bridge.
