BOONE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Some students today receiving a surprise gift to help with their studies.
The Boone County Career and Technical Center’s “Grow Your Own” teaching pathway program students got free laptops.
AT&T along with Human I-T teamed up with AmeriCorps to give away 50 refurbished laptops to the high school juniors and seniors in the program.
The students all attend high school in Boone County.
They go into elementary and middle schools, then go online to perform several tasks dealing with teaching.
When these students graduate, they will have earned four education credits with Marshall University.
